Situation and Assessment

Project Overview

Shadow Mountain Recovery has 4 facilities across 4 states. They had been stuck in a business downturn and were seeking outside capital to aid in the turnaround. Marketing was fragmented, managed by a mix of vendors and internal staff across channels. Circle Social was called in to provide a path to growth and success while also integrating and consolidating marketing under a single roof.

Opportunities for Improvement

Labor and vendor costs were high due to fragmentation of marketing responsibilities. There was no comprehensive strategy or integration across channels, leading to CPAs that were double the national average. Analytics were not providing clear insight into what was working and what wasn’t.

Following the implementation of precise analytics and call tracking tools, the paid media team successfully resolved campaign inefficiencies in Google Ads that stemmed from unreliable data inputs. Website Rebuild

The website was slow and outdated, not optimized for conversions, and had a messy site architecture on the backend. A new website was built to improve aesthetics, speed, user experience, and rankings in Google. Following the rebuild and optimizations, conversion rates from traffic to inquiry tripled and top 3 Google rankings doubled.

The Results Speak for Themselves

The final result was a 72% reduction in cost per admission while also improving OON and private pay payer mix by as much as 300%. Admission volume doubled overall within 3 months while maintaining the same exact ad spend as before Circle Social had started.

Organic Google traffic increased by 400% over two years with a 300% increase in top 3 keyword rankings. 100% growth in year-over-year traffic and 125% growth in year-over-year qualified call volume for 3 years and running.

As a result of the website redesign, conversion rates from traffic to inquiry doubled.

*Temporary dip result of new website launch. New website launches are a great example of short term pain for large gain as we see the double in rankings growth once Google re-indexes the site, which generally takes 3-6 months.
